Several days later, she got her wish. The eggs cracked and some cute little ducklings appeared. "Peep, peep" the little ducklings cried. "Quack, quack" their mother greeted in return.

However the largest egg had not cracked. The mother duck sat on it for several days. Finally, it cracked and a huge ugly duckling waddled out. The mother duck looked at him in surprise. He was so big and very gray. He didn't look like the others at all. He was like a turkey.

When the mother duck brought the children to the pond for their first swimming lesson., the huge grey duckling splashed and paddled about just as nicely as the other ducklings did. "That is not a turkey chick. He is my very own son and quite handsome" the mother said proudly.

However, the other animals didn't agree. They hissed and made fun of him day by day. Even his own sisters and brothers were very unkind. "You are very ugly" they quacked.

The little poor duckling was very unhappy. "I wish I looked like them" he thought to himself. One day, the ugly duckling run away and hid in the bushes. The sad duckling lived alone through the cold and snow winter. Finally the spring flowers began to bloom. While he was swimming in the pond, he saw three large white swans swimming toward him. "Oh, dear. these beautiful birds will laugh and peck me too" he said to himself. But the swans did not attack him. Instead, they swam around him and stroked him with their bills. As the ugly duckling bent his neck to speak to them, he saw his reflection in the water. He could not believe his eyes. "I am not an ugly duckling but a beautiful swam" he exclaimed.

He was very happy. From that day on, he swam and played with his new friends and was happier than he had never been.

Basically all nations and communities in this world are always involved in the process of modernization, although the speed and direction of change are different. The process of modernization is very broad, can hardly be limited in scope and problems, starting from the social, economic, cultural, political aspects etc. According to Wijoyo Nitisastro; Modernization includes a total transformation from traditional or premodern (life and technology) social life towards economic and political patterns. Whereas according to Soerjono Soekanto: Modernization is a form of social change, which is usually directed social change (directed change) based on a plan (social planning).
Based on some of the opinions above, it can be underlined, Modernization is a process of transformation from a change towards more advanced or increasing in the life of the community. Modernization can also be interpreted
as a fondness to accept new ideas, try new methods, and express opinions, and be sensitive to time, and trust in science and technology.
Modernization

Modernization comes from the word modern (advanced), modernity (modernity), which is interpreted as values that apply in aspects of space, time, and wider or universal social groups. While what is commonly contradicted with the modern concept is traditional, which means something that is obtained by a person or group through the inheritance process from generation to generation from generation to generation. Modernization shows a development of the structure of the social system, a form of continuous change in aspects of economic, political, educational, tradition and belief in a society, or certain social units. Modernization is also a process of changing society along with its culture from things that are traditional to modern.
Modernization and globalization is a new development that raises beneficial and harmful influences, therefore the process of modernization and globalization should be carefully and wisely selected so as not to cause the destruction of human capabilities, and the destruction of the cultural structure of the local community. Through modernization and globalization there will be a flow of science, technology, and cultures, especially from developed countries to developing and underdeveloped countries, on the other hand the flow of cultural science and technology will definitely displace and marginalize local cultures .

The development of fashion is increasingly rapid, and the cycle of fashion turns alternately, fashion that is accepted by the public will be a fashion trend, while modes that are not accepted will be ignored. Increasingly globalized technological developments have made fashion styles grow rapidly, so that the fashion that is being favored in other countries can be immediately adapted also by people in Indonesia through modernization in the field of technology called the internet. Modernization of technology, has a great impact on other sectors including fashion.
Modernization of fashion or clothing, can be interpreted as a change in culture in the sense that a person's traditional habits become more modern or follow the changing times. It cannot be denied that many Indonesian people are oriented towards
